A blend of boiled linseed oil and pine tar in a traditional recipe offers the best of both. The light tar oil gives a golden honey look to the wood, while the dark tar oil with mineral pigments enhances UV protection. It provides excellent moisture and rot resistance for long-lasting durability.
Application of Cold-Pressed Linseed Oil
This product is used for log buildings, wooden facades, boats, footbridges, fences and posts, etc. With its collection of good properties, the light tar oil gives the wood a unique, honey-golden appearance. On the other hand, natural mineral pigments are added to the dark tar oil, which increases the protection of the surface from the sun’s UV rays. Excellent protection against moisture and dirt.
Drying time:
6-7. days at temp. +20 (± 2 ) ̊C. Lower temperatures, damp air and wood prolong the drying time.
Preparation of the surface:
– The surface must be clean and dry.
– Wood moisture level >18 %.
– Thoroughly clean the surface from the previously applied chemical coating.
– Do the work from +10 ̊C – +25 ̊C.
– Do not use on a surface heated by the sun.
Consumption:
– for unplaned wood ~5-8 m2/l
– for planed ~8-12 m2/l
– for hardwood ~30-36 m2/l
These consumption parameters are merely indicative; your consumption might differ from these parameters.
Course of work:
! Mix thoroughly before use and during the process. Tar oil is applied in a thin layer, smoothing it over the surface as much as possible. After 6-7 days, when the oil has dried, apply a second layer, smoothing the oil over the surface, just like the first time. Unlike stain, tar oil does not need to be wiped off. The surface does not need to be primed before oiling.
Packaging:
0,75L, 2,5L, 5 L
Tool cleaning:
It is recommended to clean used tools with natural turpentine or soapy water.
Storage:
Keep the buckets tightly closed. Keep away from sources of ignition. The minimum temperature is +5 ̊C.
Expiration date:
3 years
Before use, carefully read the instructions for product use and surface preparation. Depending on the type of wood, moisture level and type of finishing material (planed or finely sawn), the tone of the treated surface may differ from the tone shown in the picture/labels. When a transparent product is applied to the surface, the wood may slightly change its tone. Before treating a large area, we recommend performing a test on a small area of the treated surface.
WARNING! Materials impregnated with oil can spontaneously combust! After finishing work, they must be placed in a container with water! Used brushes and work clothes must not be near an open flame. Do not allow the product to enter groundwater or soil, and keep out of the reach of children.
