The linseed primer effectively prevents mould growth and is a versatile base for painting or staining. It enhances the quality and durability of paintwork, providing long-lasting protection. The primer is easy to apply, penetrating deep into the wood’s structure to ensure comprehensive protection beyond the surface.
Application of linseed oil primer
Surface preparation: The surface must be clean and dry. Wood moisture level >18 %. Thoroughly clean the surface from the previously applied chemical coating. The work should be carried out from +10C – +25 ̊C. Do not use on a surface heated by the sun.
Application: for log buildings, wooden facades, windows, doors, restoration, etc.
Procedure: Apply as thinly as possible, smoothing the oil over the surface. After priming, paint or stain the surface no sooner than 24 hours later.
Consumption: for unplaned wood ~ 5-8 m2/l, for planed ~ 8-12 m2/l, for hardwood ~ 30-36 m2/l. These measurements are indicative. Your consumption may differ from our instructions.
Drying time: 24 hours at temp. +20 (± 2 ) ̊C. Lower temperatures, damp air and wood prolong the drying time. Cleaning tools: We recommend washing with natural turpentine or warm water and soap.
Storage: Keep buckets tightly closed. Keep away from sources of ignition. The minimum temperature is +5 ̊C. Validity period – 3 years. See the expiration date on the package. Permissible volume weight shift +/- 10 gr.
Anti-mold additive: protective biocide IPBC (EUH-208).
WARNING! Application materials impregnated with linseed oil can spontaneously combust! Therefore, immediately after finishing work, they must be placed in a container with water! Used brushes and work clothes must not be near an open flame. Do not allow the product to enter groundwater or soil, as well as keep away from children.
